So, I’ll be shooting from the hip here in text form to get this into a short digestable read for you…
If I could sum the Lectric Xpress 750 ebike up into one sentence:
The is a very nice riding and surprisingly torquey commuter style electric bike at a cheap-ish price.
For my review I specifically chose the step thru variation because despite the step thru style having a stigma as being a “girls bike” it’s much more comfortable and has an upright seating position with relaxed handlebars that curve back towards the rider, and it’s much easier to get on and off the bike compared the the high step variation because you don’t have to swing your leg nearly as high.
Lectric Xpress 750 PROS
Things that stood out to me while riding the Lectric Xpress 750 were the significant torque and power, especially for a bike with “normal width” commuter style tires.
Additionally, the application of power was predictable and easy to control with the torque sensor pedal assist system, as well as the throttle dialing in the power in accordance with the pedal assist level chosen from 0-5. Sometimes high power ebikes can feel a bit sketchy when the power application is sent via a cadence sensor or the throttle does not limit your power based on PAS level selected, but the Lectric Xpress 750 has solved this common problem.
The seat post length is also excellent, allowing the seat to be raised up to a height that is even too high for me to reach the pedals (and I’m 6’5″) while also having the ability to lower the seat to a very low height for short riders. The chef’s kiss is the adjustable height handlebar adjustment that can be accessed with a unique quick release lever which also frees up the ability to rotate the handlebars as well. This makes it very easy to get the handlebars exactly where you want them quickly, which is convenient if multiple riders will be using the Lectric Xpress 750 ebike.
The quick release thru axle system secures the front wheel of the bike safely and also allows you to pop the front wheel off if needed without having any tools – two thumbs up.
Also, Lectric is a huge ebike brand and USA based, so that’s comforting.

Lectric Xpress 750 CONS
The only downsides I saw with the Lectric Xpress 750 was the model I received did not have a “brake light” – meaning when the brake lever is grabbed the integrated rear light does not light up any brighter than when the lights are simply “on” – too me, I don’t mind or rely on other riders or drivers to see the brake light, but I just want you to be informed before buying a Lectric Xpress 750.
Motor noise was also noticeable, but this is typical of a 1300w peak geared hub motor. When you start pumping this much power into a geared hub motor, that’s just what happens. If you want a quieter ebike, go for lower power, or a less efficient direct drive “gearless” hub motor.
A potential downside of the “quick release” handlebar system that makes the controls easily adjustable may be that you don’t get the bars locked down as tight as using traditional bolts can, but it’s a commuter ebike so as long as your not jumping the Lectric Xpress on mountain trails I doubt this would be of any concern at all.
It’s not “UL Certified” but honestly, who cares. I think the UL thing is just a giant money grab racket anyway. I heard it costs companies $100,000 to get just one ebike UL certified.
Lectric Xpress 750 Final Thoughts
Bottom line is if you’re looking for a good, comfortable, 28mph ebike from a reputable USA based brand, the Lectric Xpress 750 is a super solid option.
